Edith Lehmann
I completed a BA in Fine Art (majoring in painting and life drawing) in my early twenties. Since then I have played with many mediums, including quilt making, felting and book binding. A few years ago I circled back to painting, my original starting point.
I work in acrylics, which is a flexible medium as its short drying time allows for quick changes and overpainting.
I find painting in general an evocative medium that allows me to explore ideas and emotions in
tangible form. In my work this mostly takes the shape of people in colourful and peaceful landscapes.
