I have lived in Denmark since 1973 where we farmed and raised our large family. I came to art later in life at the age of 41 beginning when I attended the local TAFE college to do art courses. As well I attended a privately run Ceramics course for two years then set up in my shed. I attended any and every workshop I could find and after some years, qualified to teach Ceramics at the Denmark, Mt Barker and Albany TAFE colleges.

I have always wanted to paint and so found an outstanding local artist of many years, by the name of Dez Brennan, who helped me develop my artistic abilities.

I am captivated by many different forms of art and currently I am using recycled fabrics and cotton rope to make items that allow me to express myself in an art form which we can use in our day to day lives. It has been fulfilling to produce a form of art that is practical but also satisfy the artist in me.
