Lara Louise Karpeljuk
Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Lara now calls Busselton her home.
Lara is an award-winning artist who, in recent years, found the time to explore and develop her skills further. She is forever expanding her expertise as she likes to explore new mediums, textures and colours.
As a multidisciplinary artist, Lara’s artworks range from loose watercolour paintings in an illustrative style over more realistic acrylic paintings to abstract artworks often influenced by Australian flora and fauna.
Currently Lara’s focus is on creating Australian landscapes in a hard-edged painting style. The series “Somewhere in Australia” combines clean lines and shapes with the warm earthy tones Australia is known for, combined with turquoise waters and ocean. It is a unique painting style Lara has found for herself, inspired by visits to the Kimberley region and the Karijini National Park.
